As a major step in K&R Hydraulics’ mission to be at the leading edge of technology in hydraulic repair capabilities, we have invested in a 10 meter Geminis CNC lathe. The Lathe boasts 10 meters between centres, 525 mm spindle bore and full CNC functionality. To compliment the lathe we have purchased a range of Sandvik tuned boring bars, allowing us to machine bores up to 8 m long. With this new equipment K&R Hydraulics will have the capacity to manufacture or modify any cylinder barrel or rod that the market requires.
The lathe will primarily be used to complement our capabilities in the repair of large excavator and drill rig cylinders, for the Mining and Civil sectors, however, it is available for any suitable large machining application. eg Steel Industry, Shipping or Agriculture.
The lathe is currently undergoing final pre-delivery inspections in Spain and will be delivered to our huge new modern workshop in the near future.
