The innovative 8-meter Travelling Column Bed Mill is an advanced system designed for heavy-duty machining with a unique longitudinal moving column for seamless shuttle operation.
The system is designed to support workpieces weighing up to 15,000kg with impressive milling performances, including a powerful 42kW output and 1636Nm torque, to handle the most challenging machining assignments.
A wide range of configurations across multiple axes and X-axis movement and a Twin-Drive system composed of a preloaded rack and pinion system with dual servo motors for “dynamic movement”, one is actual driving and the other for “backlash-free” braking.
The column cross and ram cross movement, allow for performance in two distinct workspaces for double work scope; one for machining and the other for setting. Easily divide using the quick-to-install workspace partition for streamlined shuttle operation and enhanced efficiency.
The new machining system offers superior stability and precision, thanks to the column base equipped with six INA roller shoes and below-embedded INA steel in the rail. This ensures “high geometric accuracy” and “stick-slip-free” movement, while the 230mm wide rail support provides strong reinforcement holds to the heavy column.
